Sugar Skull IV

As you walk through the world, there are places that call to our spirit.
The majestic mesas of the Southwest are one of those places.
Through the eyes of this sugar skull you will see into the wide open spaces of the distant mesas to experience a little of the serenity that can be found there.

Southwest Collection:

These Southwest inspired designs are four separate patterns with three designs each. The design measures 8" x 8" and can be mixed and matched to create anything from a nice wall art piece to a lap quilt size which I did with mine, as shown to the left. You can also build out each ones border, or, repeat the designs to make a full sized quilt! The design variations are endless!
They use a core of eight colors with only a few extra highlights added (flower colors), easily sourced from your stash. The codes all match across the designs so if you're doing one or multiple, the colors are all listed the same way to keep you from getting mixed up.
They are available as individual patterns or discounted if purchased as a group. I will be adding the laser cut kits shortly!

UPCOMING DESIGNS: Fun "Charming" Applique Patterns & Kits
I have a new series in the works "Charming" applique patterns. 5" x 5" will work with the great charm fabric packs available out there. Just choose the colorway that best suits you! Tthese will be offered as a Set of 4 complimentary designs. An easy way to step into learning applique without a ton of pieces or overly fussy cutting. They will also come as laser cut kits that you can get right to assembling then easily coordinate the rest of your fabric with for your desired finished project.
Laser Cut Kits
I finally figured out the best machine for me and it's arriving shortly! This has allowed me to offer the laser cut kits at a more affordable price going forwards. Not all the laser cut kits are in stock right now, I will email you if it's not and let you know when it will ship, usually within 3-5 days from your online order, no longer than a week at most unless I'm on the road at shows which are only a couple of times a year now. If you need it sooner let me know when I contact you on delivery time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Laser cut kits include complete pattern, fabric pre-fused and cut for main design and background. Kits DO NOT include border, backing, binding or batting fabrics shown in images.

Sugar Skull II

I love the gentle feathery leaf design on the rich lime green background. I've updated the eyes with fun flowers that match the soft feathery design.
What you can't see are the pieces used to create the background. If you stitch the edges of the background pieces with either a contrasting or complimentary color thread, it would add a nice subtle design element. I used alcohol ink pens to slightly darken pieces to accent the edging and show off the shapes!
